Thanks for asking. This drawing is one of many studies done for the murals (2008-2009) for St. Charles Borromeo Church in North Hollywood. The story behind this one in particular, is that St. Charles went out (barefoot) and served the Eucharist, the bread and wine, to the suffering and dying during the plague in Milan and other cities throughout Italy in the 1570's.
